Eddie Irvine shook down the three cars to be used in the Brazilian Grand Prix on the Maranello (Italy) circuit. He did 14 laps in Schumacher's car, 6 his own and 6 in the T car with a fastest time of 1m 00.985s.

Irvine also tested four Goodyear rain tyres. The circuit was made wet artificially. He completed the 12 laps with a best time of 1m 14.089s.

Ferrari have cut a deal with Finmeccanica, which is the owner of for example the Agusta company, who make helicopters. The two companies will exchange technical information.
