BAR driver Ricardo Zonta is ready to leave the hospital a statement said today. Zonta broke a bone in his left foot after crashing during free practise of the Brazilian Grand Prix last Saturday. He was flown to a local hospital where he had surgery. The reason for the crash is still unsure. The Brazilian claims that it must have been a technical problem because he was not going very fast at the time.

Zonta's condition is improving but it was not said if he will be fit for the next race at Imola. Mika Salo has been mentioned as his replacement.
