Three teams began a three-day test at Monza yesterday. The Williams team, among the three, explained it chose that circuit as it is a low downforce track so is the ideal place to work on car setups for the next race in Montreal and to also start thinking about configurations for the race on the long straights of Hockenheim.

The three teams were welcomed at Monza with very hot and sunny weather, and some hundreds of fans who sneaked into the closed circuit.
