Marc Gene was the first Formula One driver to test at the new Valencia circuit in Spain today. The track was opened last year for the FIM Championship. The Minardi Team announced there that five drivers will test for the team next week at Jerez. Champions from lower championships are given the opportunity to test a Formula One car, when they bring the right amount of money of course.

Minardi is still looking for a driver alongside Marc Gene. On Monday Giorgio Vinella, Peter Sundberg and Fernando Alonso will take to the wheel of the M01. Over the next days Max Wilson and Norberto Fontana will again drive a Formula One car.
