Jenkins Impressed with Heidfeld

Thursday November 11th, 1999

Prost Team's technical director Alan Jenkins told Racer writer, Alan Henry, he and the team have been very impressed with Nick Heidfeld, after only just a few weeks of working with the F3000 champion.

"They've prepared him really well at McLaren," Jenkins said, "and if he learns even more here from Alain, he could be one of the best-equipped newcomers we've seen for some time. First impressions are that his technical input is excellent and he has a really nice personality."

Jenkins also admitted that he was worried Prost will lose Heidfeld, possibly back to McLaren, at the end of the 2000 season.
