Brazilian driver Rubens Barrichello wants to fight for the World Championship next year, mounting a strong challenge from the start of the season, he admitted.
Barrichello, who joined Ferrari late last year, confessed he achieved his goals during 2000, but he now wants to emulate teammate Michael Schumacher's success.
"I want to win immediately, at the first Grand Prix," he told Gazzetta dello Sport. "For my first season [with Ferrari] I had an objective of between 50 and 60 points. To have achieved 62 points is already a success.
"Now I know what Ferrari is I will go well, I will win more. Now, I would like to turn the 6 into a 9 [to reach] 92 points. World Championships have been won with fewer points."
Barrichello finished in fourth position in this year's championship, achieving his first victory in Formula One at the German Grand Prix.
