Hakkinen Fastest at Barcelona - Day Three

Saturday February 19th, 2000

Gene at BarcelonaMcLaren's Mika Hakkinen set the fastest lap today, on the third day of testing at Barcelona. Hakkinen was followed by yesterday's fastest driver, Jordan's Heinz Harald Frentzen, and by his teammate, David Coulthard, who also ran the most laps of the day - 108 in total.

Fourth fastest was a surprising Marc Gene in the Minardi M02. Albeit being fast, Gene's day was marred with several engine problems, which sidelined the Spaniard for the majority of the day.

Also facing various mechanical problems was Jos Verstappen's Arrows. The Dutch was unable to run more than two out-laps and set no time at all during the day.
