Schumacher Completes Race Simulation Successfully

Tuesday February 29th, 2000

Today was the final day of testing for Ferrari at the Mugello circuit. Today's programme consisted of Michael Schumacher tackling the Grand Prix distance simulation, put back from yesterday.

The German driver took to the track at 9:00 am for an installation run. The actual simulation started at 12:30. Schumacher did three runs of around 19 laps each. Everything went according to plan with the F1-2000 and so the endurance run finished at 16:00, with 67 laps completed and a best time of 1:25.388.

Schumacher will be driving at Fiorano tomorrow.

The Mugello lap record is 1:24.705 (M. Schumacher)
