Heinz-Harald Frentzen was fastest in testing at Silverstone yesterday.
Foggy conditions prevented testing in the morning, with testing getting underway in the afternoon.
Frentzen completed a total of 53 laps without any problems with the fastest time of 1:27.17, concentrating on mechanical set-up and back to back runs to evaluate tyre durability.
Sauber was second fastest with Pedro Diniz, who worked on aerodynamic testing today. Meanwhile at Lurcy-Levis near Magny-Cours, Sauber test driver Enrique Bernoldi carried out straight line testing to validate wind tunnel data in preparation for the race at Hockenheim later this month.
Alexander Wurz and Antonio Pizzonia tested for Benetton, setting the fifth and sixth fastest times. Wurz suffered a gearbox problem, losing a lot of track time, while Pizzonia made comparisons between the soft and medium tyres, as well as working on set-up.
