Final Day of Testing for Ferrari

Friday September 29th, 2000

Championship leader Michael Schumacher completed his final day of testing for Ferrari at the Mugello circuit on Friday.

The German driver covered over 500 kilometres today in a programme that centred on set-up and aerodynamic work initiated yesterday.

He also did some tyre testing, completing a total of 105 laps with a best time of 1.24.056, the best ever performance for the F1-2000 at Mugello.

"I am very happy with the way these two days at Mugello have gone," said Schumacher. "We have done a really good job. We are very quick thanks to the new tyres, but on top of that we have found a good set-up which has allowed us to get the most out of the tyres."
