Benetton Duo Test at Silverstone

Wednesday January 24th, 2001

The Benetton team began a two-day testing session at the Silverstone circuit on Wednesday, with drivers Giancarlo Fisichella and Jenson Button at the wheel.

Button ran in the old B200 chassis, working on engine and chassis controls, while teammate Fisichella continued development work on the new Renault RS21 engine and the B201 gearbox, both to be included in the new car which will be unveiled on February 6.

The team concluded the session successfully with no problems throughout the day, but as the test is taking place on the National Circuit no times were set.
