 Frentzen Not Planning to Leave F1 Yet Monday October 22nd, 2001 German driver Heinz Harald Frentzen has said that he plans to keep on racing in Formula One for several years. The 34-year old was sacked from the Jordan team before this year's German Grand Prix and was rescued by the Prost outfit for the final five races of the year, where he was unable to fight for the points. However, Frentzen, who has expressed his desire to stay at the financially-struggling French team in 2002, says he is not planning to leave Formula One and is aiming to beat some of the wealthiest teams in the future. "I have not gone as far as Mika Hakkinen, my batteries are not empty," Frentzen told the Bild am Samstag newspaper. "In fact the opposite, I still want to drive for several years. "It is easier to win a race with Ferrari or BMW-Williams than to get a single Championship point with a Prost," he added, "but that is the challenge – to lead a team from the back of the grid into the mid-field. I drive and fight for the future. From time to time I also want to beat a few established teams."
