Briscoe to Get Toyota Testing Chance

Tuesday October 23rd, 2001

Ryan Briscoe will become the third Australian to test a Formula One car next month when he is given his debut by newcomers Toyota.

The 20-year-old will follow countrymen Mark Webber and James Courtney in testing in Formula One after Toyota team principal Ove Andersson announced that he will get a drive in early November.

Briscoe, who has won the Italian Formula Renault Championship this year in his first season of car racing, will test at Toyota's base track the Paul Ricard Circuit in France.
