Schumacher More Relaxed after Early Title

Wednesday October 24th, 2001

Four-time World Champion Michael Schumacher has revealed that he feels more relaxed just two weeks after the season ended as a consequence of having won the title early in the year.

Schumacher, who will be chasing his third consecutive crown in the 2002 season, cliched this year's title at the Hungarian Grand Prix, with four races left to be run, and has admitted that he was not looking forward to the winter break as in previous years.

"I am more relaxed and am longing less for the winter break than previously," Schumacher said. "I am less exhausted than usual.

"Since the World Championship had been decided so early and due to the phase after Spa where everything slowed down a bit after the terrible events in the States, I am feeling less tired at the moment than usual at the seasons end."
