Following the FIA's decision to accept Jordan's appeal and reinstate Jarno Trulli's fourth place in the United States Grand Prix, the final standings of the World Drivers' Championship and that of the Constructors' Championship have changed.
Jordan are now confirmed to have finished in fifth place in the 2001 Constructors Championship with 19 points, two points ahead of sixth-placed British American Racing.
"There is an enormous perceptual difference between fifth and sixth place," said a Jordan spokesperson. "We have improved our standing from last year and have finished above the other Honda team competing in this season's championship."
