Jaguar driver Eddie Irvine, who missed last Sunday's Austrian Grand Prix after suffering abdominal pains, was passed fit on Thursday to return to Formula One.
Jaguar said the Briton had been released from hospital after extensive tests and, although doctors had advised him to rest for a few days, he had been cleared to compete at Hockenheim in the German Grand Prix on July 28-30.
"I've been given the all-clear which is a huge relief. I'm feeling fresh, relaxed and ready to go," said the Northern Irishman, runner-up last season when he was at Ferrari.
"Although I have been told to rest for the next couple of days, I'm very keen to get back in the cockpit."
"I'm looking forward to Hockenheim. I have been keeping tabs on the team's Silverstone test this week and we're all encouraged by what has been achieved."
Irvine was replaced at the Austrian Grand Prix by the team's Brazilian test driver Luciano Burti.
