German Nick Heidfeld will start Sunday's Bahrain Grand Prix from 19th position after receiving a penalty for changing his engine.

The Jordan man had qualified in 15th place, but under new regulations a driver who replaces the engine during the weekend will be demoted ten positions.

Heidfeld will start ahead of McLaren's Kimi Raikkonen, who did not even complete his flying lap today after having his engine changed following a failure in practice.

Following a problem during the second practice session on Friday, Jordan decided to replace Heidfeld's engine. The German's teammate Giorgio Pantano will start from 15th place.
