Walkinshaw Could Face High Court Action

Monday February 19th, 2001

The Arrows Grand Prix team refused to comment on reports in a Sunday newspaper alleging that they face High Court action against team boss Tom Walkinshaw.

The report, which appeared in the Sunday Telegraph on February 18, claims that two former employees are suing the Arrows chairman after they resigned from the team.

The report detailed the employees' claims that Walkinshaw deliberately excluded them from management decisions, refused them access to documents, and embarrassed them professionally by withholding information.

It also stated that the writ suggests Walkinshaw diverted money earmarked for the Formula One team into his other businesses.

The report names former chief executive Keith Shepherd and ex-financial officer of Arrows Christopher Hicks as the two men involved.
