Ecclestone Launches a new F1 Magazine

Sunday March 4th, 2001

The first edition of Bernie Ecclestone's Formula One magazine has been much in evidence throughout the Melbourne Park Paddock during the opening Grand Prix of the season.

The 270 page glossy is the only magazine that enjoys official status within F1 and is a sister publication to Ecclestone's already successful EuroBusiness title.

The publication boasts an impressive array of F1 Journalists, including Gerald Donaldson, Joe Saward, David Tremayne, Jane Nottage, Christopher Hilton and others.

Three-time World Champion Niki Lauda is Editor in Chief. Expert contributors include John Barnard, Nigel Mansell, Eddie Irvine, Peter Collins and David Coulthard.

Pundits in the paddock suggested Ecclestone launched his magazine to rival the world's most successful F1 print magazine, F1 Racing, owned by Haymarket - the largest publishers of F1 periodicals, including the weekly Autosport magazine.
