Mitsubishi have recruited former Ferrari Formula One employee Ed Wood as technical head of engineering at their World Rally Championship team.

The team said the 33-year-old Wood worked at Ferrari from 1998 and was responsible for all chassis-related technologies as a senior special projects engineer.

"He brings a wealth of experience with him from Formula One," said Mitsubishi team chairman Andrew Cowan.
