Bridgestone Launch Charity Auction

Friday November 30th, 2001

Formula One stars, including three World Champions, have come together in order to help bereaved children in the United Kingdom.

Organised by tyre supplier Bridgestone, twelve Formula One drivers have signed-up to a charity auction run by traffic officers from Thames Valley Police. The auction aims to raise money to send children who have lost close relatives on special holidays to Disneyland Paris.

A Bridgestone t-shirt signed by Michael Schumacher, Rubens Barrichello, Mika Hakkinen, David Coulthard, Jarno Trulli, Heinz-Harald Frentzen, Jacques Villeneuve, Olivier Panis, Nick Heidfeld, Kimi Raikkonen, Jos Verstappen and Enrique Bernoldi, will be auctioned online and it is hoped that it will raise thousands of pounds for the charity.

Bids for the t-shirt may be placed at www.ttcharitytrust.org.uk by clicking the 'contact us' link. The closing date for bids is Monday, December 31, 2001.
