A couple of days after the Hungarian Grand Prix, several Formula One teams resumed testing at the British Silverstone track.

On the first of the three-days testing session, McLaren Mika Hakkinen set the fastest time, in a day that was marred with morning rain and afternoon showers. Hakkinen was almost a second faster than McLaren's second driver at the track, F3000 Champion Nick Heidfeld.

Testing at Silverstone resumes tomorrow, as well as Ferrari testing, which begins at Fiorano.
