The final day of testing at the Estoril circuit was cancelled on Thursday due to the bad weather conditions at the Portuguese track.
The Michelin-shod teams had been forced to do wet-weather tyres testing during the previous days, being able to run dry setups on Wednesday afternoon only, when the track finally dried up.
But a heavy rain today made it impossible for the teams to work, so they decided to cancel the session and put an end to this year's work.
"Clearly to lose one day of testing is never good, but at least yesterday we had a pretty full day, running in the dry, and even simulating a GP," said Jaguar driver Luciano Burti today. "However, despite losing one day, we were able to complete the programme at Estoril."
With the Bridgestone users completing their 2000 work yesterday in Barcelona, the Formula One teams won't test again until January 2001.
