Irvine Uses Break to Recover from Neck Injury

Saturday August 4th, 2001

Jaguar driver Eddie Irvine is using the current summer break before to completely eradicate the neck injury that he has suffered from this season.

Despite virtually recovering from the injury, Irvine wants to put it completely out of his mind by relaxing and training over the next few weeks.

"I pulled a muscle in it but it's alright now," said Irvine. "I hit a bump in Monaco and then tweaked it at Silverstone and did the damage. It's not an issue now.

"I had two weeks off between the last two races and it's cleared up pretty much in the last two weeks. So now I'll be relaxing and training and relaxing and training."
