Following complaints on Friday from McLaren's David Coulthard as well as from the Ferrari team, the Hungarian Grand Prix stewards have decided to lower the kerbs on turn 12.
The Scot driver went wide coming into turn 12, damaging the bottom of his McLaren and forcing the first free practice session to be red-flagged when all sort of debris were spread over the Hungaroring circuit.
"The kerbs are the same on the outside as they are on the inside," said Coulthard yesterday. "They are too solid. Ferrari has been up there complaining as well, and they have not had the damage that we have had. So I would say that they will make changes to the kerbs before the race."
Following the complaints, the stewards announced on Saturday the kerbs have been lowered by 2.5 centimeters in order to avoid the same incident.
