New BAR boss David Richards has claimed that he has eradicated the in-fighting at the team in the build-up to the season.
Lead driver Jacques Villeneuve and Richards are known to have had disagreements after the Canadian champion's mentor Craig Pollock was replaced before the launch of their car. But it seems that talk of an early departure for Villeneuve may well have been put on hold, and that the tough times of internal bickering could be over.
"All the in-fighting has been knocked on the head," insisted Richards, who has had a stint in Formula One with Benetton in the past. "Now it is up to us to make it work. Jacques is perfect because he is blunt, focused and has only one goal. And he has got an extraordinary talent."
