Ferrari Working on Titanium Gearbox

Saturday February 24th, 2001

Double world champions Ferrari are reportedly working on a new titanium gearbox.

The innovation, which a French company is currently working on in secret, is a new compact ultra-light gearbox, which is scheduled to be ready in July or August.

The Maranello-based team has already used this solution on its Formula One cars before but more recently a titanium gearbox was fitted to last year's Minardi.
