Former Formula One World Champion Nigel Mansell will be back behind the wheel of a racing car at this year's CART race at the Rockingham Motor Speedway, the first such event held in the United Kingdom.

The 1992 Formula One champion, also winner of the CART title in 1993, will drive a few laps around the track in anticipation for the real event, scheduled for September 22 at the recently-built $70 million circuit.

Mansell's return to the wheel of a CART machine will be part of the Coys Historic Festival, which will take place at Rockingham on May 26.
