Hugo Hakkinen completed his 'Formula One debut' on Wednesday when he made his first appearance in the paddock of the Monaco Grand Prix.

Now nearly six months old, Hugo, first child of two-time world champion Mika Hakkinen and his wife Erja, was the centre of attention today in the paddock, as he witnessed for the first time the work carried out before Thursday's free practice sessions.

Onlookers observed he inherited his father's tranquility and calmness, the baby rarely crying, looking comfortable among the many cameras that lurched at him.

Hugo Hakkinen was born on December 11 last year.
