More Schumacher Family in F1?

Monday November 19th, 2001

"Lucky there's not three (Schumachers)," said Mika Hakkinen after finishing behind Ralf and Michael Schumacher at this year's Canadian Grand Prix. "Then there would be a problem." It turns out that the two-time World Champion's fears could become a reality.

His last name is not Schumacher, but Sebastian Stahl is Ralf's and Michael's step brother and he has also had some success in racing in the past few years.

23-year old Stahl, son of Barbara Stahl - Rolf Schumacher's current wife - has been the club champion in Rolf's karting circuit in Kerpen, just like Ralf and Michael had been in the past.

Stahl was initially forced to withdraw from racing some year ago after being unable to raise the necessary funds, but he is back behind the wheel, having driven in the final four races of the Beetle Cup. He is also scheduled to test a Formula Renault at the end of November, hoping to land a drive to compete in the German championship in 2002.
