Following his recent test with the Jaguar Racing team, Narain Karthikeyan seems to be in line to land a deal as test driver for the Sauber team. The Indian driver, who finally drove for Jaguar after delaying the test several times, revealed he is set to test for a Formula One team later this year.

"It will be in August and September, but the announcement will have come from the team, maybe in the middle of next month," Karthikeyan said on Monday. "I am very excited. But I can't mention the team. It was finalised today."

According to rumours, Karthikeyan will test for the Sauber team, hoping to secure a deal as test driver for the Swiss outfit, who currently don't have a tester and whose testing is carried out by both Nick Heidfeld and Kimi Raikkonen, who shares manager with Karthikeyan.
